A development application is about more than the technologies you know. It should explain how you understand a requirement and keep the resulting work maintainable. Describe a project through your responsibility

Begin with the purpose, user need and the part you handled. Specify whether your work involved the interface, server, integration or data operations. For a team project, distinguish your contribution from the overall result.

The reason for a technical choice, a problem you encountered and the decision you made can explain your work well. Do not add numerical gains if they were not measured. Personal learning projects are welcome as examples when clearly identified as learning work rather than client assignments.

Show your approach to maintenance and errors

A feature working once does not explain how it will handle future changes. Describe how you adapted code when requirements changed, dealt with an error report or documented a handover. A concrete example is more informative than a series of broad qualities.

Scope also matters. Separate the part you developed from an external service and from work owned by another team. This lets your experience be considered according to the responsibility you actually held.

Explain data and access boundaries

Describe what you consider when handling user input, permissions and integration data. You can explain your general approach without sharing real credentials or customer records. An example of how you raised an issue with the responsible person may be useful.

If you do not own a code sample, respect its sharing restrictions. Access to a private repository or production credentials is not an application requirement. A small permitted example with a written explanation can be sufficient to introduce your thinking.

Describe communication and handover

Explain how you clarify an ambiguous request, make a blocker visible and describe the delivery scope. Communication with designers, editors and the business owner is part of technical work. Be open about topics you have not worked with and where you need support.
